China Visa Requirements For Nigerian Citizens
- An accurately filled visa application form (PDF)
- A valid international passport. Valid over the next six months and consecutive blank pages
- One recently taken passport photo – full face, front view, bare-head, and against a light background (size: 48 x 33mm). Follow the Chinese Embassy photo guidelines.
- Previous international passports (if any) to show your travel history especially if you have been to China before and need to renew your visa.
- Certificates of residence, student or employment status evidence and any other relevant document to show your proof of residence in Nigeria.
- Confirmed return ticket
- Proof of hotel reservation
- Obtain a letter of invitation from a person living in China that you will be meeting.
- An itinerary showing your provisional airline bookings as well as the hotels you booked and addresses (physical and contact address including phone numbers for verification).
- Bank Statement. Evidence of adequate funds to support you during the period of study in form of a bank statement of at least six months (usually a bank balance of between four (4) to six (6) million Naira is required.
- Photocopy of certification (marriage certificate, birth certificate or notarized certification of kinship) showing the relationship of family members between the applicant and the inviting individual.
China Visa Application Process:
- Schedule an appointment to submit your application
- Once at the CVAC, scan your passport upon arrival
- Get a queue number for the submission of your application
- When your number is called, submit your application at the counter
- Receive a payment notice and pay the necessary fees at the cashier
- You will receive a pick-up form (a receipt detailing the information of your application and the expected date for your passport collection)
- Track the status of your China visa application via the CVAC’s website
