Malaysian Visa Requirements For Nigerian Citizens
- An honestly filled (in block letters) and signed application form (Download PDF)
- An International passport valid for at least seven months from the day submitted
- Two recently taken passport photographs (35x50mm) on either a white or blue background. Note: Passport Photographs must not be more than three months old
- Proof of visa application payment or visa application fee receipt
- An original and coloured copy of your international passport data page
- Original and coloured copy of approved Yellow Fever Certificate. This certificate must be valid for at least ten days, preceding from the day submitted
- An approved return flight ticket with booking reference number
- Hotel Reservations OR Proof of accommodation for the duration of stay
- Original and photocopy of applicants stamped bank statement signed by bank managements. This statement must not be more than three months old, preceding from the day submitted
For Children below 18years or dependents
- Consent letter (in such case where one or both of the parents are not travelling with the child)
- Birth certificate of the child
- Valid means of identification of parents
- Marriage certificate
Documents required for student visa applicants include
- Offer letter from your chosen educational institution approved by the pass & permit division in the Immigration Headquarters of Malaysia.
- Proof of full-time course of study approved by the Minister of Home Affairs
- Health Certificate
- An original and clear copy of the highest obtained educational qualification certificate.
- Eligibility Letter from the Ministry of Education of Nigeria.
Malaysia Visa Types
There are two main Malaysian visa types this solely depends on the purpose of your travel. These visa types include:
- Visa Without Reference (VWTR): This visa issued to applicants who intend to visit Malaysia to study, visit a family relative, a Nigerian who is a for a visa from another country, or a tourist
- Visa With Reference (VWR): This visa is issued only by the Immigration Department of Malaysia and this visa is only awarded to entrepreneurs, investors and persons with business-related intentions. Unfortunately, this time this visa is not available for Nigerians for now.
