Recently, Brazil consular has introduced the e-consular system where all applicants can book their appointment.

The process allows applicant to book appointment for any visa category of their choice. An email will be sent once your request is approved.

Let’s dive into the Brazil e-consular process.

  1. Access the e-consular System: you will need to visit https://econsular.itamaraty.gov.br and register for the process.
  2. Check your email: you will receive an email from the e-consular with a link to access the System.
    Only after checking the email will you be able to proceed with the appointment.
  3. Choose the service: log in to the System and select the desired service.
  4. Fill in the information: fill in the requested information for the type of service you want and insert
    images of the required documentation in the corresponding fields.
  5. End the service: after filling out the forms, check the data and send it for validation by the Consular Authority.
  6. Wait for the Consulate’s response: if everything is complete and correct, the consular sector will send an email authorizing the appointment.
  7. If something needs to be fixed: correct the application by following the instructions received.
  8. Validated application and scheduling: when the application is validated, the consular sector will send an email with a link to access the service agenda. Just open the link and schedule the service on the desired

Style of writing:

  • be succinct and objective;

  • Complete name, civil status, age, profession and labor occupation, and passport number;
  • Details about traveling to Brazil:
  • Reason or purpose:
    • tourism, family visiting, business, other;
    • intended date of travel – be reasonable: no earlier than 60-90 days before the application date;
    • inform how many days you intend to stay in Brazil;
  • Information about your income:
    • employed, self-employed, retired. Other;
    • state a figure for your monthly income;
    • mention the source(s) of income you have;
  • In case you are travelling at expenses of family, spouse, company/employer, institution, government, please inform this (and add the corresponding supporting documents to your application);
  • Inform your budget for this intended trip to Brazil: how much it will cost the trip (flight, hotel, other expenses). In case of family trip, state your budget for each family member.

Personal Identification and Visa Application Form:

  • passports (current and previous ones);
  • appointment confirmation (with a booked date);
  • proof of payment (consular service fees);
  • protocol page (receipt of the online application), with a passport standard photo glued to it and
  • signature (a formal signature, as used for contracts and checks); signed manual form;
  • copy of current passport ID personal page;
  • birth Certificate or substitute document;
  • marriage certificate, if the case;
  • other official ID;
  • self-introduction letter;
  • in case of minors: notarized authorization to visa application (consulate) and travel authorization (migratory control in Brazil) – interview and additional documents may be required, at the discretion of the consular authority);

Invitation Letter and/or Supporting Documents:

  • invitation letter (notarized or confirmed by digital certification and, in case of copy, the verification code must be readable).
  • inviting person ́s notarized copy of ID;
  • details of itinerary within Brazil (in case of business event or meeting, copy of the program/agenda: venue, dates, agenda and the like);
  • other supporting document confirming the declared purpose of traveling to Brazil;

International Travel History:

  • if any, copy of Brazilian visa previously granted (the last three only);
  • if any, copy three visa grants in current and previous passports;
  • list of countries already visited: (a) year, (b) country, (c) purpose of the trip/stay abroad, and (d) how many months staying in this country;

Labor Occupation and Income Source

  • Presentation/recommendation letter from employer
  • Proof of work/employment/income (if self-employed, CAC);
  • Bank ́s recommendation letter;
  • Bank statements current (salary or income account) and savings account;
  • If any, proof of investments, real state property, and the like;
  • If any, proof of local health insurance;
  • If available, proof of international credit card (and its limit);
  • In case of sponsorship letter, additional requirements apply.

Travel Arrangements:

  • Flight and hotel reservation;
  • If the case, international health/travel insurance.

There is no need for any vaccine card.
